Business Coaching priced by what you use, not by what we bundle

Most coaching firms sell you a package. Three tiers, a confusing feature grid, and a price that includes things you will never touch. We do it differently. You pay an hourly rate for the coaching you receive, and a flat monthly fee for the diagnostic tools and reporting dashboards we maintain on your behalf. That is the entire cost structure.

This page explains every line item so you can budget accurately before your first call.

What each hour and tool actually costs

We publish these rates because hidden pricing creates distrust. If your situation needs something outside this table, we will quote it in writing before any work begins.

Line item Rate What it covers
One-to-one coaching session (60 min) £145 Live video or in-person session, recorded summary, action list emailed within 24 hours
Strategy deep-dive (90 min) £210 Extended session for quarterly planning, market-entry decisions, or restructuring conversations
Diagnostic dashboard access £55 / month Cash-flow tracker, KPI scorecard, and goal-progress board updated weekly by our team
Async review (per deliverable) £75 Written feedback on a business plan, pitch deck, hiring brief, or financial model you send us
Team alignment workshop (half day) £680 Facilitated session for up to 8 participants covering role clarity, decision rights, and accountability mapping
Emergency call (30 min, same day) £95 For urgent decisions: supplier disputes, staff crises, cashflow shocks. Booked via text.

All prices exclude VAT. We invoice fortnightly. You can pause or stop at any time with seven days notice. There is no minimum commitment and no cancellation penalty.

Why we dropped packages entirely

Between 2019 and 2022 we sold three-tier coaching plans. Bronze, Silver, Gold. The usual. What we found was that 70% of Silver clients never used the email-support hours baked into their plan, and most Gold clients only wanted the quarterly deep-dives, not the weekly check-ins they were paying for. We were charging people for things they did not want. Switching to itemised billing in early 2023 cut our average client spend by 18% while satisfaction scores went up. Clients stayed longer because they felt in control.

How billing works in practice

At the start of each month you tell us roughly how many sessions you expect to need. We do not hold you to that number. If you book three sessions and only use one, you pay for one. Invoices arrive on the 1st and 15th with a line-by-line breakdown. Payment is due within 14 days by bank transfer or card. If a session runs over by more than ten minutes, we round up to the next half-hour at 50% of the hourly rate. We have never had a billing dispute we could not resolve in a single email.

"I was paying £1,200 a month for a coaching retainer I barely used. With Collaborative Biz Mentors my average monthly bill is around £400 and I get more value from every session because I only book when I have a real problem to solve." — Declan Harrity, founder, Harrity Logistics
"The diagnostic dashboard alone saved us two days a month in manual reporting. At £55 it is absurdly good value." — Priya Nandha, operations director, Greenline Interiors

The method behind each session

Every coaching conversation follows one of six frameworks depending on the decision you are facing. We pick the framework, not you. Here is what each one addresses.

Revenue architecture

Pricing models, sales pipeline design, customer lifetime value analysis. Used when revenue is flat or declining and the cause is unclear.

Operational drag audit

Mapping where time and money leak out of your operations. We trace a typical week of activity and identify the three costliest inefficiencies.

People-structure alignment

Role design, reporting lines, decision rights. Applied when a growing team starts tripping over itself or when a key hire is about to be made.

Cash position stress test

Scenario modelling for the next 90 days. What happens if your biggest client leaves? What if a supplier raises prices 15%? We run the numbers live.

Market-entry filter

A structured decision tool for evaluating a new product, geography, or channel. Scores opportunity against risk, resource cost, and time-to-revenue.

Exit and succession logic

For owners thinking two to five years ahead. Valuation drivers, buyer profiles, management readiness, and the steps that increase sale price most reliably.

Is this a good fit for you?

We are selective. Coaching only works when the conditions are right. Read through these signals and see how many describe your situation.

Your business turns over between £200k and £5m and you are the primary decision-maker.

You have a specific decision or challenge you want to resolve, not a vague desire to "grow".

You can commit to at least two sessions per month for the first eight weeks.

You are willing to share real financial data. We cannot coach in the dark.

If you are looking for a motivational speaker or someone to validate decisions you have already made, we are not the right match.

Pre-revenue startups without a launched product are too early for what we do. Come back once you have customers.

What a typical first month looks like

Week one is a 90-minute deep-dive where we map your current position: revenue sources, cost structure, team capacity, and the decision that prompted you to reach out. You leave that session with a written diagnostic and a recommended coaching cadence.

Weeks two through four are standard 60-minute sessions focused on the highest-priority issue from the diagnostic. Most clients tackle pricing or cash management first because those create the fastest measurable change. By the end of month one you will have a clear picture of whether ongoing coaching is worth continuing.

"The cash-position stress test showed me I was three months from a serious shortfall. We restructured payment terms with two key clients and the problem disappeared. That single session was worth ten times the fee." — Tom Birkett, managing director, Birkett Civil Engineering
